Lueg Kunststoff-Fenster GmbH – Tradition trifft Innovation

Lueg Kunststoff-Fenster GmbH, based in Bochum, has been synonymous with tailor-made window solutions since it was founded in 1961. As a family-run company, Lueg stands for down-to-earth values and reliable craftsmanship, embodying the epitome of a medium-sized family business.

With an unwavering commitment to quality, Lueg carries out both new construction projects and renovations of old buildings with the utmost professionalism. Thanks to their many years of experience, they enjoy the trust of private and commercial clients alike.

In a recent innovative advance, Lueg has installed a new steel cutting center equipped with manual infeed and outfeed functions. Due to the unique structural conditions, a special solution from HECHT was implemented, as no standard solution allowed for a different design.

Thanks to the Exenso HECHT steel cutting center, Lueg can now cut the reinforcing steel just-in-time. A data interface to a Thorwesten PBZ sends exactly the steel information that is needed next. This means the operator can place the right steel very easily and with graphic support. The way it works is semi-automatic. The raw bar with a length of 6000mm is pushed through the HECHT pusher system, sawn off and transported out. The cut reinforcing steel is removed by the machine operator. This means that the steel can be inserted directly into the PVC profile in the correct length. The low-burr cut of the band saw has major advantages over a circular saw, which often leaves a burr on the steel, meaning that the steel profile can only be pushed into the PVC with a lot of additional effort on the part of the operator. When the HECHT steel saw was put into operation, the production process was optimized and changed so that less inventory was required and productivity was significantly increased.

The advice, flexibility and performance of the system were decisive factors in the customer’s decision to opt for a HECHT product. Particularly noteworthy is the seamless subsequent integration of the new system into the existing machinery.

The installation of the system was carried out quickly and efficiently by HECHT’s service technicians and was completed within one day. This enabled production to continue without any significant interruptions.

With the new system, Lueg is now “perfectly positioned” to meet the requirements of the modern construction industry and to further strengthen and expand its market position.
