Quality Assurance with HECHT Measurement Technology – Since 2008
Based in Bloomington, USA, Organized Living is a manufacturer of high-end storage and organization systems. As early as 2008, the company invested in a PC-DesQ measuring table from HECHT to improve manufacturing quality control and make it more reliable.
The objective was to quickly and precisely compare components against specified DXF data. This enables the verification of both component dimensions and drill-hole positions, ensuring deviations are identified early on.
At the same time, testing procedures were standardized and measurement results documented transparently. As a result, Organized Living increased process reliability and ensured a consistently high level of quality in manufactured parts.
The Measuring Table as an Integral Part of Production
Over the years, the PC-DesQ has established itself as a reliable fixture in production. Component measuring is now firmly embedded in daily routines and is an automatic part of Organized Living’s manufacturing process.
However, with rising production demands came a growing need for additional measuring capacity. Consequently, Organized Living invested in another HECHT measuring table in 2024—a DesQ-II Plus.
This serves a dual purpose for the company: First, it provides additional measuring capacity to prevent bottlenecks in quality control. Second, the new measuring table acts as a failsafe. Should the PC-DesQ in use since 2008 ever experience downtime, component measuring can continue without unnecessarily slowing down production.

This renewed investment after 16 years highlights the significance that measurement technology has gained at Organized Living. The measuring table is no longer merely an inspection tool, but an integral part of the production process. Reliable quality control helps detect errors early, keep production workflows stable, and ensure required product quality.
